You asked for it – New In Store

New in store this month we have …

Whoop Whoop!

New Zealand Oregon (NZO) 90 x 45 is back in stock!*

This dressed untreated framing timber is a firm favourite with many of our customers, and we have had quite a few of you asking us when it’s going to be back in store. It has taken us a while to be able to get our hands on another pack but this is now back in store. Its superior strength, stiffness, stability, and durability make it very useful, and because NZO has high natural resistance to moisture and decay, it can be used in many building applications without being chemically treated. We have seen it used in many different ways, including DIY projects and non-structural framing for jobs like divider walls, fences, gates, or simple wood sheds and pump sheds etc.

New in store….*

Miles Nelson Pro Series Turin Lever Handles*
We have had quite a few requests for a simple and cost-effective lever handle, so recently we brought the Pro Series Lever Handles into store.
These have a satin nickel finish and come in an entrance, privacy, or passage set, so something for every application. Made to suit a door thickness from 32mm – 45mm with a 54mm hole.

90 x 20 Radiata Merch Timber

We are now stocking a dressed (smooth) H3.2 merch grade timber which is really suitable for making residential gates, fences, etc. (and probably a whole lot of other things too!). It is a lovely-looking timber, at an affordable price point. Pop in-store to see it for yourself.

PS: We also had a new supplier recently come through who supplies boxed metal gate frames for residential sections, so you can create your own gate style.

Also…. not actually in store but now available…

Last weekend was the “Big Game”…

Many of you will think I am referencing the Super Rugby final between The Crusaders & The Chiefs – which in itself was a great watch from the comfort of the couch, with the fire roaring.

However, in this particular instance I am talking about a big game a tad closer to home.

As most of you know, we are big supporters of Black and Yellow here at BuildLink, and last weekend on our way home from work David and I called into Foster Park to watch Rolleston vs Kirwee Div 2 play. It was cold, wet and very muddy!

This particular game grabbed our attention not only for the club colours of the teams (both teams playing colours are black and yellow) but also because it ended up being a BuildLink Staff vs BuildLink Builders match up – with Preston playing for Rolleston, and a group of our young builders playing for Kirwee… the reports of onsite banter in the build up to the game when Preston and David were dropping off materials was entertaining to say the least 🙂

Whilst the end result went convincingly the way of Kirwee, there was a little equaliser – being that by the end, there was very little black or yellow showing on either team, instead they were all equally covered in a thick layer of brown mud!

The Cover

It is always a hard decision picking a magazine cover.

This often sets the tone for the whole magazine, and in this issue, we are proud to be featuring our very own General Manager, Simon Burden, on our cover.

However, we don’t want to cheat you out of a few of the other options we considered for our cover. All of these covers are amazing, but in the end, we agreed that we wanted something to represent the changes BuildLink Group Ltd and the National Support Office have gone through since January. Since this issue of the magazine is the initial issue of our rebranded magazine, we believe that the chosen cover is the best to represent exactly the path we are on.
